My Favorite Fitness & Nutrition Apps
MyFitnessPal or MyMacros
Counting calories and macronutrients is the best way to set yourself up for success on your weight loss journey. Both of these apps are comprehensive macronutrient trackers with databases of over 2 million foods. Having this database makes it very easy to log your food on the go!
Have you ever wondered what the macronutrients are in an apple, carrot stick or muffin? Nutrition Facts allows you to search for foods and view their nutrition facts. You might find yourself making better food choices after downloading this one!
My Favorite Apps for Fitness
FitNotes is the best workout Journal! Tracking your workouts is a great way to stay on track and make sure you never neglect a body part or skip out on cardio! Notice a trend here? Track. Track. And then track.
Traveling or just want to find a gym near you? Use this app to find gyms, health clubs, and classes in your area! Esquared is essential for being able to find options for working out in your area whether you are visiting friends and family, on vacation or if you have recently moved.
The only step counter you need! Have you ever wondered how many steps you get in on the daily? This app will help encourage you to park a little further away and start taking the stairs! Having a step counter has helped me notice trends in how much I am moving around throughout the day. Once I notice these trends, I can start making changes for the better.
My Favorite Apps for Music
If you aren’t using this app as your workout motivator and mood enhancer throughout the day then you are simply missing out! Like Bob Marley said, “One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” HAHA.

My Favorite Apps for Wellness
This app offers thousands of free guided meditations. Mental health is JUST AS important as physical health! Without a healthy mind you will not achieve a healthy body. If you take my recommendation on any of these applications please take this one. Having InsightTimer also allows you to put your headphones in and take a few minutes for yourself everyday to be quiet and mindful before chaos ensues in your house 😉
Daily Water Tracker Reminder
Water is ESSENTIAL to achieving your weight loss and fitness goals. Staying hydrated is crucial for the kidneys and other bodily functions but many people do not consume enough. I recommend setting a daily water consumption goal of 8 ounces per hour and increasing it as your comfortable. And for those who will ask, I consume 1 gallon of H2O per day. (Don’t worry, you’ll get there!)
Are you getting enough sleep each night? Sleep is uber important!!! I’m afraid many of you would tell me no and I understand it’s not easy. As a mom of two it’s easiest and most convenient for me to work late at night but I am making efforts to limit it and focus on getting adequate rest. Use this app to track and understand how much sleep you get.
