[Nathalia Melo]
Hello, hello, everybody! Welcome back to the Unfiltered Fit Life Podcast! Today, we have a very special guest.
She’s a homeschooling—or unschooling—mom of four who, at the age of 37, yes, you heard that right, 37, took the stage for her first-ever bikini competition. That competition was just the beginning, as she went on to win many more. Just one year later, she made her first millions as the CEO of The Sculpted Vegan.
She built The Sculpted Vegan—her vegan bodybuilding and fitness empire—right from her kitchen table. And let me tell you, I can vouch for that. With zero followers and no connections, she built a powerhouse business. She’s also the host of The Kim Constable Podcast.
She’s a complete badass, and I’m so excited to welcome my friend, Kim Constable, to the podcast!
How Natalia and Kim Met
[Nathalia Melo]
Kim and I go way back. I love telling people how we met because it was such an interesting way. Do you remember, Kim?
[Kim Constable]
I remember! Yes, I do.
[Nathalia Melo]
Okay, so here’s the story. I had just had my son, Nico, who had the worst acid reflux on the planet. Kim reached out to me because she was starting to think about competing and wanted coaching for her posing. I was like, “I’d love to, but right now, I’m just trying to survive this baby who won’t sleep!”
And then Kim says, “Oh, I’ve got four kids. I’ve seen it all. Tell me what’s going on.”
Next thing I know, she’s at my house within a few hours with a product her sister had developed to help with reflux. And that’s how we met—over acid reflux remedies!
[Kim Constable]
It’s true! I just remember thinking, “If this mom is struggling, I’m going to help.”
[Nathalia Melo]
And you didn’t just help—you brought a solution and stayed for a chat. That kindness stuck with me, Kim.
Kim’s Business Journey
[Nathalia Melo]
Now, Kim, I’ve told you this before, but my business wouldn’t be what it is today if it weren’t for you. After I had Chloe, you invited me to your house, handed me a bottle of champagne (which got me slightly tipsy since I hadn’t drunk in ages), and walked me through everything you were doing in your business.
I think you believed in me before I believed in myself. That support was life-changing for me.
[Kim Constable]
Oh, Natalia, I remember that so clearly now. It’s funny how we forget these moments, but yes, I remember. You’ve always been capable—it was just about showing you what was possible.
[Nathalia Melo]
That belief and support made all the difference. So, let’s talk about your journey. You were a stay-at-home mom for years, homeschooling your kids. Then one day, you decided to build your empire. What sparked that shift?
[Kim Constable]
Honestly, I realized one day that my husband, Ryan, would never be “rich enough” to fulfill the vision I had for my life. And it’s not that he wasn’t successful—he was very successful as a rugby agent. But I realized that if I wanted more, I had to make it happen.
I started researching online businesses, teaching myself Facebook marketing, copywriting, and more. It took years of trial and error, but I knew I wasn’t going to stop until I figured it out.
Challenges and Growth
[Nathalia Melo]
You’ve faced so many challenges—culturally, personally, and professionally. For example, being in Northern Ireland, a smaller, more traditional place, must have made standing out even harder. How did you navigate those societal pressures?
[Kim Constable]
It wasn’t easy. Northern Ireland has a lot of cultural norms, and people aren’t always supportive of someone stepping outside of them. I remember being criticized for posting photos online or sharing parts of my journey.
But I kept going because my vision was bigger than the opinions of others. I had clear goals—like flying my family first-class to Australia—and those goals kept me focused.
[Nathalia Melo]
I love that. And I think a lot of women struggle with feeling like they have to do it all. When did you realize you needed to delegate and outsource, both at home and in your business?
[Kim Constable]
That was a game-changer for me. I realized that if I wanted to grow, I had to focus on the things only I could do. At home, I hired a housekeeper, and in my business, I outsourced design and Facebook ads. It freed up my time to focus on what mattered most.
Navigating Fame and Criticism
[Nathalia Melo]
With your success has come some criticism, especially from the vegan community. How have you handled the backlash?
[Kim Constable]
It’s been tough. I’ve had people report my Facebook ads, try to shut down my accounts, and even report me to child protection services. But I’ve learned to separate myself from the hate. If you’re doing something worth talking about, people will talk—good and bad.
[Nathalia Melo]
That’s such a powerful perspective.
[Nathalia Melo]
Kim, thank you so much for this incredible conversation. You’ve shared so many nuggets of wisdom that I know will resonate with our listeners. Where can people find you and follow your journey?
[Kim Constable]
Thank you, Natalia. The best place to find me is on Instagram at @thesculptedvegan. That’s where I share everything—from business tips to life with my chickens (shoutout to Pam, Sandra, and Ruby!). You can also visit my website at thesculptedvegan.com.

[Kim Constable]
Thank you, Natalia. The feeling is mutual.
